A FleXtents® pop-up gazebo is designed for quick and easy setup. The frame is delivered fully assembled, so there are no loose poles to connect, and no tools are required before the gazebo is ready for use. Most models can be erected in just a few minutes, and the process is both quicker and easier with two people.
In this guide, we explain how to set up your FleXtents® pop-up gazebo correctly and how to secure it so that it remains stable during use.
First, we recommend that you order a FleXtents with a carry bag or transport bag - if the bag is not included, order one at the same time so you can store, transport and protects the gazebo.

How long does it take to set up a FleXtents® pop-up gazebo?
That depends on the size of the gazebo and your level of experience.
A smaller FleXtents® pop-up gazebo, such as a 2x2 m or 3x3 m model, can often be erected by two persons. However, we generally recommend two people or more, as this makes it easier to open the frame evenly and reduces unnecessary strain on the structure.
Larger models should always be erected by at least two-four people.
Step 1 – Position the frame
Place the folded frame on a flat and stable surface. Stand the structure upright on the fitted footplates so that the entire frame is supported securely.
The footplates provide stability during setup and make it easier to continue working with the gazebo.

Step 2 – Open the frame partway
Carefully pull the frame open until it is extended most of the way. The structure opens via the strong scissor-action bars between the legs, allowing the gazebo to unfold smoothly.
Avoid pulling too hard on one side at a time. When two people work from opposite sides, the frame opens more evenly, and the setup process is both easier and gentler on the structure.
Step 3 – Fit the roof cover
Before fully opening the frame, place the roof cover over the structure.
Locate the four corners and secure them at the corner posts. On larger models with additional legs, start with the corners, as this will make the rest of the fitting process easier.
Once the roof cover is positioned correctly, carefully open the frame fully.

Step 4 – Lock the frame
When the gazebo has reached its full size, raise the crossbars until the locking mechanisms click securely into place.
Check that every locking point is properly engaged before continuing. This ensures that the frame is stable and that the roof cover is tensioned correctly.
Step 5 – Adjust the height
Extend the legs to the required height.
Adjust each leg individually by releasing the locking mechanism, pulling out the telescopic section and allowing the lock to click securely back into position.
Most FleXtents® pop-up gazebos have several height settings, allowing the gazebo to be adapted to different requirements and surfaces.
Step 6 – Fit the sidewalls
Sidewalls can be added as required when you need extra shelter, privacy or protection.
They are easy to attach using the integrated hook-and-loop fasteners on both the roof cover and the sidewalls. You can fit all the sidewalls or only those that suit the weather and the event.
On warm summer days, many people use the gazebo with the roof cover only. Sidewalls can then be added quickly if the wind increases or the weather changes.

Does a pop-up gazebo always need to be secured?
Yes.
Whether the gazebo is used privately or professionally, it must always be secured correctly.
Even a moderate wind can generate considerable force when it hits the gazebo's large surfaces. A pop-up gazebo should therefore never be used without suitable anchoring.
We recommend using storm straps and ground pegs, or another suitable securing solution depending on the surface.
It is important that storm straps are attached directly to the frame and never to the eyelets in the roof cover. The roof cover is not designed to withstand the forces created by wind.
Can a FleXtents® pop-up gazebo be used without sidewalls?
Yes.
Many people choose to use the gazebo with the roof cover only in good weather. This provides effective shade and creates an open, welcoming area for markets, exhibitions, garden parties and other outdoor events.
If the weather changes, sidewalls can be fitted quickly to provide additional shelter and protection.
